RFB Large Shield

The Uncoated RFB Large Shield from Epic Armoury is a semi-curved kite shield modelled after those used by soldiers between the 10th and 12th centuries. This shield is 99 cm long and comes in plain black with a carved rim featuring metal-like detailing and studs. Although the design is simple, it is timeless and classic and is being sold without any colours or latex coating for your DIY projects. The shield arrives matte and undecorated, allowing you to add details. You can wear this Large Shield on your left or right hand with six versatile canvas straps on the back, enabling different fighting styles and stances. You can trust that this rigid EVA foam shield will withstand the continuous wear and tear of a LARP with regular latex maintenance. Paint the shield with paint designed explicitly for EVA foam and, once dry, apply a very thin layer of transparent latex using a brush or dipping it. Maintenance

All latex-coated weapons need a certain degree of maintenance. For this we recommend using maintenance silicone, which can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. Epic Armoury Maintenance Silicone is an easy, spray-on application, 100% pure and acid-free making it safe to apply. We recommend using Maintenance Silicone on a regular basis. It maintains the latex-coat’s flexibility and prevents it from drying out, keeping the product wear and tear resistant.

Store your latex weapons flat or on its pommel--NEVER on its tip. Use a simple sheet or towel lining to prevent it from touching a plastic or rubber surface to prevent your weapon from adhering to other products. Keep your weapons in a cool, dry environment.
